An important meeting on gas supply suspension and low gas pressure in industrial areas of the city is scheduled to be held today at Karachi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) to decide future line of action. KATI Chairman M Zubair Chhaya said that the gas pressure in this industrial estate improved considerable as compared to Tuesday.

He said that the association still received low gas pressure complaints from different companies located in different areas of industrial estate. He said that when he contacted high ups of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) they informed that gas pressure may drop when they resume gas supply to CNG stations in the city.

They also claimed that increase in gas consumption in interior of Sindh also reduced pressure in the city. He said industries can not run in prevailing condition of gas supply from time and again. He expressed hoped that the government would give serious consideration to the gas shortage issue and adopt measure to improve gas supply.
